1	When faithful Christian people fall asleep in Jesus,
	Then though they are immortal, why should there be grief and weeping?

2	And why should you become like the ungodly, hopeless?
	After death heaven will be gained, then all will be well.

3	Having received resurrection from death, Jesus won the victory,
	So the disciples, dying in the world, will live fearlessly.

4	Jesus, giving a great call, will open all the graves;
	And at the last the trumpet will sound, it will reach every place.

5	And God's devotees, being set free, will ascend with great joy;
	Meeting the heavenly host, they all will be received.

6	Here a few years pass away, then we shall go to that land;
	Among friends there will be no separation, pure joy will be found forever.
