૫	સિંહ વિનાશક ત્યાં મોટો શેતાન ફરે છે;
	તે ઝાલી ભટકેલાંનો સંહાર કરે છે.

૬	તો પણ પાળક રે'મ કરી મુજબે ઘર લાવ્યો;
	ને નિજ ગોદ મહીં લઈને મુજ પ્રાણ બચાવ્યો.

1	I was a foolish sheep, not desiring the fold;
	I did not hear the shepherd's call, I walked very astray.

2	Leaving the fold, I did what pleased me, it seemed great happiness;
	Seeing much pleasure in the world, my head wandered.

3	I knew nothing of truth and falsehood, I walked as it seemed to me;
	Remembering no word of instruction, I did not keep it.

4	I went completely on the crooked path, into the wilderness;
	There I saw danger of every kind.

5	There the great destroying lion, Satan, roams;
	He seizes the straying ones and destroys them.

6	Yet the shepherd had mercy and brought me home;
	And taking me into his own lap, he saved my life.
